Gear work cheap!

Just wanted to mention that I got my gears done last week (5.13's) for pretty cheap compared to most places... about $500 cheaper! A friend of mine recomended this guy and I was broke so I decided to try him out. This guy does the work from his home but he does awesome work... and he does a LOT of gears.... when I picked up my Jeep he was already working on another axle and had a few more waiting. Anyways... just trying to help out anyone here and him. His e-mail is [email protected]

BTW... also during the install he kept me updated on what's going on and was able to answer ANY questions without sounding annoyed by me. Than he followed up a few days ago.

Harry mentioned to me that you were going to try this guy out. I heard he does lots of gear installs for several clubs. Glad that you are happy with the service provided . . . and really glad to hear that the price is cheaper, but still quality work. I think when the time comes for me to do the "gear swap," I'm gonna talk to this guy.

Thanks for letting us know you had a good experience.

Well, I am the Guy that did Oleg's gear install and axle work. As mentioned, I work from my home. I do about 10 to 20 axles a month during the months I take on side work. I have been doing gear and axle work for years and have done everything from golf carts to Ford trucks to Jeeps to chevys and everything else. My typical larger volume comes from Dana 30, 44 and 60 stuff with alot of Dana 35 also still.

If your interested in a price for some axle and gear work, PM me. I am very competitive to the lower cost pricing, yet you get a experienced gear guy doing a quality job.

Here are some pictures from Oleg's JK.

prior to work, I never realized how weak the inner C's really were on a JK.

Removing the axle for better and cleaner welds.

finished outer area

I feel that the inner sleeving was a good benifit but that the inner C gusset's should really help eliminate any issues with larger tires and more then fire road trail abuse.

Hey Jeep_fab_&_Gears:

Ever heard of "charlie wenzel", you might not want to go back and edit your sale price without some explanation . . . if you've never heard of "charlie wenzel" I'd read this thread here over at Pirate4x4.com

He'll get banned if he talks price and doesn't pony up the $100 for a vendor star.

So, shouldn't the price have been deleted altogether?

Well Oleg brought it to my attention that why did I charge him X when I posted X. I then realized I transposed the to cost.

I really don't care to "pony" up the 100$. and I honestly don't need advertisement here. I do very well with all my other ventures and with word of mouth as well as a few companies using me exclusively.

As for the yellow star, I have supported Pirate4x4 since before the JK or even the TJ so How many here run check points for KOH? How many here donate hundreds every year at the benders jamo. both of which are Directly tied to P4X4, Your owner...

I did not ask for the advertisement only elaborated on it and do what you will with it.

Just let it be known that every shop I know is a RIP off when it comes to gear labor. Total time for a shop is about 4 hours MAYBE 5 if itís a bear. You take that and divide it by the labor cost of 600-1300$ and what's that an hour? Exactly.
