John Bull Trail?

Has anyone been on the John Bull Trail in Big Bear? Can it be done without lockers?

It can be done without lockers but you will have to pick the right line, Otherwise make sure someone has a strap or a winch for you!

Lets put it this way; The Land Rover and FJ Cruiser clubs run it - nuf said

My club runs it in near-stock Jeeps all the time.

I ran it without lockers on 30 GSA's in my 04 unlimited. As long as you know how to drive, and watch your lines and have a backup person in front of you with a strap you will be fine (your undercarriage might take a little beating )

We ran it a few weeks ago... two JKs with us had no lockers (one on 35s, one on 33s). Both winched on what I call LandRover Hill (as this is where I see them get stuck all the time). Better lines, more driver skill, and/or better adherence to spotter directions (you know who you are ) and I don't think that either would have needed assistance.

You'll be fine, just go with other people.

Done it with a jku sport with 35's, had to tow strap him through 1 section. Go with people and expect undercarriage and slider damage.
