We'll have some wings and beer Friday night, because there's no way you'll be making it to K2 if the shit hits the fan today like they predict.

Corey D sighting on the east side of Houston at 1045... All is well so far. He had to stop and rub the fact that he is going to K2 without me in a little. Frackin work sucks.....

I emailed Randy and they are still a "go" for opening. The weather should be very nice on Sat.

Have fun Face, take a bunch of pics.

At the park is not the problem, it will be getting to the park towing a Jeep on a trailer thats the issue.

One of my co-workers who's on CypressOffroad was looking to get out to K2 this weekend, but ended up cancelling due to weather.

Looks like a nice place, hopefully i can get in on a trip before the end of summer.

I think this thing is finally coming together. Still Needed: drive shafts, frame mount rails...then done son! For a while...

NOT, you are going to go through snow all the way to Katemcy and Austin appears to be pretty icy from what I can see on the news. If it warms up over freezing like they forecast, you may be good later in the afternoon. If you try, be careful and if you end up around bastrop and need anything let me know, five one two five eight one eight six eight three

Im still in katy and game to leave right now, but i have my brother and has his kid going with me. My brother looks like he wants to wait a while. Ill start turning the screws in a few minutes. Im about to ride to "starbusters" to get something to warm up my belly and test the roads.

KP, thanks for the offer. I hope i dont get into a bind and have to bother you. We will see.

So what happened?

It was pretty wild around here until noon or so. I got out as early as I could and did some spirited driving on the feeders. Cars everywhere and no one to be found. ??

Hey, im back. I wasnt sure if i would get there but we made it. To be honest, this one really wasnt worth the drive. If i wouldnt have had to drop off an axle to a dude in austin, i wouldnt have gone. It was pretty fun, but not fun enough to warrant a 10 hour drive.

I say it wasnt worth it becuase, well, first of all hill country inn didnt have water friday night. Why does one get a motel room? To shit and shower, neither of which you can do without water. They comped me a free room for next time, but hell, i didnt have water this time. Oh well, we all had stinky asses.

There was only wheelin' sat and sun. Thats another reason why it wasnt worth it. If we could have wheeled friday, sat, and sun it would have made it way better and worth the 10 hour drive through ice and snow, up hill, both ways....

Yes, i have some pics and video. Ill get up some pics later today and ill post up some video if i can when i get them from the long haired dude in the red jeep. Heres one to hold yous over...

Edit: Heres more pics....

Yeah man, i was a little concerned when we woke up friday morning. Looking outside, it looked fine, but once we turned on the tv, holy shit...doom and gloom. I think they shut down houston. Luckily we were on the west side of houston and was able to make it to mason with no problem. Once we got there, the weather was kinda cold, but pretty.

I forgot to mention, my 10 year old nephew austin rode with me the whole time. This was his first time rock crawling and he loved it. Nothing we did scared him, he wanted more. He likes steep up hill stuff the best.

I think im going to have a co pilot for any texas trip from now on.
