planning the Pan-am trip

Well, some of you know of my trip a couple years about from Key west florida to Dead horse alaska in 45 days, using scenic highways an byways, and dirt roads. with the longest drive in the united states under my JK's belt, we have a new idea.

Starting in dead horse Alaska (some of you know this spot from the Ice road truckers) and ending in Patagonia's southern tip. This will be a interesting trip considering i will be using my Supped up JK Rock Krawler 5.5 coil over, and 37" tires. as well as my self (photographer and Mountain Climber) will have a passenger, "pepe" ( A Mountain Climber, Base jumper and Videographer ) We will climb, jump, off road, our way south. the best news for you guys? it will be filmed. In hopes (not yet locked on) to be aired on tv as a one season special ( options are Natgeo, Discovery, planet green) so hold your breath folks, ill be taking the JKO sticker south, departure is unset. maybe this spring, or the next. Ill keep you updated.

Looks like an adventure. Sounds like you're taking the Pan American hiway. I've been on portions of in Central America. Be careful of the drivers. In Costa Rica it's called the Highway of Death or Death Highway and for good reason. some portions are really torn up. But some are really nice blacktop. I've been passed in a curve by a bus literally stuffed with people, even on the roof in driving rainstorm with visibility measuring in feet. Have fun, be safe and send pictures.

Can I house sit for you? It's been a couple years since I've hit Big Mountain. I need an excuse to come back up.

I've been wanting to drive down to the tip of South America for years! I might actually do it when I get back from Afghanistan. Best of luck when you decide to make the trip!
