Black Hills JJ Report

OK, I know some of you were there so I'll post a couple pics to get things started. As usual, the rocks were awesome and the hills were beautiful and the weather was perfect and the people were friendly and the trail guides were the best. It seems as though my pics never quite do justice to the actual experience.

Looks like some pretty intimidating rocks. Good thing you have a Jeep to conquer!

We had a great time at the Black Hills Jeep Jamboree. This was our first Jamboree, but definately won't be our last. Met and wheeled with some great people.
I didn't want to get too crazy as my Jeep is still stock (and new!), so I did the green trail on the first day and the red trail on the second day. These still provided some pretty good obstacles along with nice trail rides and great views of the hills.
I mostly have pictures of other people. I will probably add some more picutes later of my rig after I contact some of the people that were on the trail with me. Here are some for now.

Day 1, Green Trail

Day 2, Red Trail

They called this the "camel back climb," and it had a little pucker factor to it as it was quite steep and there was nothing on either side of you.

Perfect timing for great fall colors.

Lunch!

The Hills are definitely gorgeous this time of year. We were on the black trails both days and spent most of the day in the canyon bottoms on the dried up creek beds. The Black Hills of SD ROCKS.

We did have a couple of people that perhaps should have been on the green or red trails. Here's a couple of pics of some lite carnage

I believe I saw someone at dinner showing off a bent white stearing stabilzer. Now I can see where it came from.

My old stompin ground.. The Black Hills is where I cut my rockcrawling teeth and broke my JK in. The pics in this thread are of the "lighter" wheeling that the Hills has to offer. You should see the "extreme" sections!
