Colorado Trip August 2010

Here are a few photos of our recent trip to Colorado. Although the weather was wet and rainy, the scenery was still spectacular.

And here is a link to more pictures of beautiful Colorado:

very nice, thanks for posting...

In 2009 a crack commando wheelin' unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the South Florida underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as wheelers of fortune. If you have a problem. If no one else can help. And if you can find them. Maybe you can wheel with The 50/50 Off-Road Team.

Do you use a map, Colorado Trail Guide, Word of mouth, what?

This is Bridal Veil Falls just outside Telluride. You can reach it via Imogene Pass or Black Bear Pass also.

I grew up in Colorado so I know the area trails well. A good trail guide book is Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails, 3rd Edition by Charles A. Wells. You can order it on Amazon. It lists most of the trails in Colorado and is very detailed. The visitor information centers in Silverton and Ouray also have very good detailed maps and the trails are well marked.

I'm jealous of all you westerners....Between the pics of Colorado and the Moab in Utah...I don't think I can take much more of this Plains state...

2010 Jeep Wrangler 2dr Rubicon with a part from everyone...
