Making a rear bumper

Started my rear bumper build. Thought I would post some pics along the way.

Cut out the crossmember


Started bending the top tube and making templates for the brackets


Cut the frame back


No going back now

very nice, did you make the brackets in your garage?!? they look fantastic.

and are you gong to shorten up the tube around the corners or does it hug tight to the body?

Cutting the plate with an angle grinder and cut off wheel.

The tube is getting cut off at the edge of the body.

eh dude, you shoulda ran that tube down the side to give a little more protection. kinda like what the 80s toyota rear bumpers look like. i bet a Orfab style tire cage would look nice with that setup, with your skills you oughta be able to make it yourself..
