Trails and tales from my orange jeep.

I wanted to have a timeline of mods and trips we've done with the jeep to look back on. I've owned a wrangler since I was 15 its the only vehicle I've ever had and this is my 4th one.

Earlier this year I traded in my 4 door jku for a 2015 2 door JK Rubicon in Sunset Orange. I had missed my 2 doors from the past and the new one being a auto was more wife friendly.

Day I brought it home from the dealers lot and said farewell to my big red jeep. I kept winch and bumper from the old jeep as part of trade in deal.

After putting my front bumper and winch on the sag was real with the factory springs and I put a set of 1.75" spacers in the front. I also added a tnt engine skid, tinted the windows, spider webshade and a cb.

First wheeling trip I didn't do too much at rush springs just some easy fun trails letting the new wear off some.

Second wheeling trip to Smorr here in Mo I had to use my winch for the first time trying to go up a ledge the jeep slid over placing me between a tree and the ledge I couldn't get up.

A nice little surprise from the ledge I was hung up on pictured above.

I got a very fair price for my jeep like it was. I wouldn't have got more on a private sale which is why I traded it in. I would have liked to have kept the tires but the fenders I really didn't want. I had already caused body damage from them pushing into the tub in the rear.

Went out to Colorado for a week with a group of friends and rented a house just outside Ouray.

At the house after a day of trails

Last Dollar Road just outside Telluride. We took this route back into Ouray from Telluraide.

Black Bear Pass

Imogene Pass and also the first trail my wife drove 100%.

Road delay so we got out and took pictures.

Nice perspective on how small you can feel in the mountains.

I really liked Silverton too.
