Custom Grill Wrap - ActiveGrafix.

I have had an image rattling around in my head of doing a grayscale American flag wrap or hydrodip on my Jeep since my headlights are now gray and so are my wheels to break up all the copper.

I finally pulled the trigger with Colin at ActiveGrafix here in AZ. I wanted something different than the few I have seen online and I think he pulled that off.

He used a 3M commercial brushed aluminum and printed an image over the top of it. Turned out wicked nice! The guy is a pro. Anyways, here are the pictures.

Wow, that's really professional looking. I dig the pattern, too!

Could you give a ballpark figure of what something like that costs?

Also, your new monkey avatar makes me stop and look at it every time.

Thanks guys! I have seen generic wraps that you install yourself for 80-90 bucks or more, this was close to double that. Money well spent because it's a head turn'er. Especially with the brushed metal look.

For reference, this is some of Colin's work.

While I was there, he had Jessi Combs Tundra in for a wrap.

Aside from Colin's addiction to grilled cheese samiches, he is a good guy and does great work! He does most of our decal work and did the wrap on our JKU.

The grill looks good! I like the concept!

I knew you two had something in common.

BTW - what type of paint did you use for the interior trim bits? I'm might paint mine black because I'm tired of looking at the lame ass silver that's on there now.

LOL, I used plain old rattle can enamel. I just made sure the parts were clean and scuffed up a bit. On the newer interior pieces, the Allen head screws are real and can be removed with a hex key. FYI.

Would be cool to see a pic a little further away with the front wheels turned a little more or a more 3/4 angle pic... but it's obvious that the wrap is top-notch quality and that the grey accents tie together nicely. Really natural looking with the copper color body.

Now go spray-tint those white marker-lights.

Absolutely, those are sore thumb now... Just need some more of those stupid plastic rivets.

Fuck, I just realized that we will never see you on the trail now. You wouldn't want to scratch the wrap.
