Wifey's grocery getter

Wifey traded her 2 door for a grocery getter in July.

Added Poison Spyder bumpers pretty quick.

Added a Teraflex HD tire carrier and mounted her new spare last weekend.

Got a little more serious with the mods over Thanksgiving weekend. Went down to a buddies who graciously offered up his shop, and me, him and another friend added a 3.5" Metal Cloak Game Changer ARB lift.

Wife wasn't digging the Lifesaver look with the stock tires, so the minute I got home, on went the new 37" Trail Grapplers.

I have a lot more to do, but, it's getting there.

She has the 4.10's, and I very surprised how well it still drives with the 37's. That said, new axles will have 4.88's.

Santa brought the wife aluminum Poison Spyder fender flares. We made it a little project to do together. Worked on it a few hours a day till it was done. She was very helpful, and we didn't fight once.

Here is a few random pics of the project.

Santa apparently has a hookup at Poison Spyder, she also had a PS evap skid under the tree. We slapped that on too.

Rig looks beautiful. Those look like ATX wheels not Hutchinson's. Keep up all the pictures and updates.

A little more work done on the wife's grocery getter today. A friend and I installed a sPOD and a Cool Tech all in one CB kit. Went ahead and labeled the switches for upcoming mods.

Inside the Jeep - sPOD switches

Under the hood - sPOD source

With cover attached

CB bracket

With CB

Wife's grocery getter will be used offroad, and she has a heavy right foot. So, axle upgrades are a must. Have been researching/shopping for awhile, and settled on a G2 Rock Jock 60 for the rear. Manager at the local 4Wheel Parts store is a good dude and has always been honest and shot me straight. Gave me a good deal on the axle, and a deal I couldn't refuse on install, so I had them do the install. Axle is in, just waiting for the new driveshaft to be made.

Just asking. But why would you trade in on a Rubicon just to swap out the axles right away? Wouldn't it of been better to just get a sport then?

Original plan was a 2.5" lift and 35" tires. Rubicon with 4.10 gears would be perfect. However, plans change, she decided she wanted 37's, so new axles. The 4:1 transfer case is a big factor as well.

You aren't messing around with the wife's JK. Are you all going to Texas Spur this year? If so, are you taking the JKU?

Good to see ya around again Steve. No, not doing Llano this year. Hope to have her Jeep finished in time for Colorado this July.
