Diesels/ tow rig pictures

I'm curious to see how many of y'all tow to the trail sometimes. What kind of trailer y'all use and the specs on your rig if you've done any power mods.

I'll start my rig is an 05 duramax, bds lift turned way down and 35s. It's also got efi live and straight piped.

Mine is a 2011 2500 RAM Diesel. Only has a leveling kit, 35's and programmer installed. Waiting for $$$ to delete the truck.

The trailer is a home build 20' copy of a PJ trailer with drive over fenders.

^this is an old picture, trailer is fully painted and I tie down to the axles now. Welded D-ring mounts to the axle housing to speed up loading time.

Nice truck, I wish you could run 35s just with a leveling kit on the Chevys

Thank you. The 35's in the front do rub (at full turn) and I have lost the ability to turn sharply at slow speeds as I still have the stock rims on them.
Truck has plenty of power, but need to do something about the MPGs, so will be deleting as soon as I have funds available.

It's just going to have to wait a little longer as i am building a 14 bolt and Kingpin for the JK. I'm used to getting shitty mileage in both my vehicles...

I have the Bully Dog tuner. Haven't cranked it up yet, as I have heard many of the 6.7s have had issues with their headstuds.
Need to change those out, before I crank up the power. Heard if you mess them up, you are looking at about a $3-4K repair bill.

If you're wanting to Delete the truck....you're going to have to get another Tuner and they are running very very scarce right now.

I know, and I am way behind on that mod. I got the bully dog for free from a buddy of mine, when he deleted his truck.
I'll end up having to pay a premium when I do delete mine.
Mine is the 2011 that is not high output, so i have to do with just the 650 ft/lb of torque.
Bought it before they came out with the higher torque output. Wish I knew. But to be honest, this one has plenty of power for me.

Finally ponied up and bought a truck and trailer earlier this year.

2014 Ram 2500 with a 3" Pure Performance kit on it. Contemplating four linking the front. It isn't on these wheels and tires anymore, but this is what it looked like on 20" BMFs and 35" Toyos.

I think I found the only set of Toyo MTs in the world that weren't round. I'm currently trying to decide on a replacement wheel. I decided too many people had Novakanes and can't find anything I like as much.

Trailer is a 20' PJ Buggy Hauler. 108" deck with steel drive over fenders. My tent fits perfectly on the front of the deck.

That's a good idea on the tent on the trailer

It works great. Wasn't my idea, my other two buddies there in the pic have the same trailer and showed me the ropes. I am the only one with a nice door mat / outdoor carpet too though. LOL!

Here is my daily driver / tow rig. It is a 2008 F-450 lifted 8" on 37 x 13.5 x 22 Toyos. We widened the rear fenders to cover the tires. It has two fuel tanks to carry a total of 110 gallons of fuel. It has a power inverter for 110 power in the cab and bed and a compressor underneath to run air tools and inflate tires. There is a 60 gallon water/tool box combo in the bed with an RV washdown pump so you can wash anything you need to anywhere. Engine mods include turbos, heads, intercooler, intake, etc all done this past winter when my warranty expired. This truck has worked flawlessly over the years and I absolutely love it!

I have never towed the Jeep with it, but here are some poor quality cell phone pictures of it towing the buggy on a 28' PJ trailer.

Here it is towing the boat on a 48' Myco trailer.

Fianlly, here is my old Peterbilt on our way to Moab this past April. It is a 330 Pete that was buiilt by Texas Trucks. It is a fantastic medium duty tow rig. I sold it to a friend a few years ago when I quit racing and now he uses it to haul stuff to bike weeks around the country, Jeep events, etc.

I concur with drummer. I'm a diehard Ford guy so I really appreciate that dually. I love that body style and the combination of them getting a little older now so they are coming down in price, the bad rep the diesel got and that the new ones are supposed to be awesome makes me think that when I'm clear from the Jeep, one of those will be on my radar. If I could find one with a manual that would seal the deal.

No truck or trailer from me. I'm one of those poor kids that drives to the trail with a tent in the back.

I traded my 2011 6.0 liter in for a 2015 Duramax two weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to pull the Jeep with it yet but I did average 20.5 mpg in it on a trip down to Austin last week -- and some of that was at 80 mph .

F450 with 40' Hallmark. The ford truck sucks the fuel so I just got a 06 5.9 Dodge to pull the trailer.
