Vid of me playing around on Playground at Chocco

Here is a video from this weekend of me playing on Playground. At first I was trying a line that a buggy in front had just taken (He's the inebriated spotter telling me to just gas it). I gave up that route since I wasn't willing to deal with the body damage it would take to go that line. I then tried the "easier" route and caught some nice air at the end which my shocks didn't like. Limiting straps are now going on.

Watching your rear axle climb forward has me all freaked out now about not having limiting straps.

Thanks, dick!
(Just kidding. Seriously, thanks for the scary impromptu physics demonstration.)
Seeing that axle pull forward finally put the forces at work into perspective in my head.

So . . . you gonna' list some "slightly used" rear shocks in the For Sale section?

Choc is a fun place. Did you try boat ramp or Hell's Revenge at Choc? My last 2 trips I did not get a chance to do playground. FYI, the layout on playground changes a lot as the owner moves stuff around.

Another good park not far from Choc is Morris Mountain. It is my favorite park in Alabama although the camping facilities at Choc are a lot better than MM (welder, air, covered porch, ice machine, etc at Choc).

I have jeeps. I do shit to them.

I did boat ramp riding shotgun in a buggy. Wound up on our lid because of the 1/4" sheet of water constantly running down its face. MM is a great park. Didn't do it on this trip because I had some dirt bikes and MM wont allow them.

X2 that thing axle steers about as bad as mine on stock arms and 13" travel shocks. I would have thought with long arms it would not trust foward that far.

When the rear suspension unloads fully, the axle will pivot forward until binding whether short or long arm. All I know is that I would not want this size lift with a short arm.

I live in Canton GA, but have been out to Chocco twice so you may have seen me then. I'd hate to hear how much scraping it would take take to get up playground on 35's. I was scraping like a mother going up.

It is not bad honestly. My wj had about the same ride quality with 2.5" of lift as my jk has at 5.5".

I agree. With half as much lift as you have and 7" less tire, 3.5" less under axle clearance and 6" less belly clearance I would have to see it to believe it.
