PANS4AU - Built for a Gold Panning Wheeler

We meet wheelers everyday - but not many that have gold pans in the back of their 4x4! Tom, a real life gold panning enthusiast, brought us his 2014 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon for some serious off road upgrades.

We started with the lift Ė and while you may recognize our RECON bolt-on coilover system with all new King Shocks coilovers, you may not recognize his heavy duty high clearance front and rear long arm system. This is a sneak peak of our latest upcoming product for the 2007+ Jeep JK 2 and 4 door Wrangler. How new is it? We donít even have a name yet.

Indestructible Johnny Joint arms in conjunction with our in house designed chromoly control arms and mounts give our system unmatched flex, clearance, and durability. Look for this system to hit the market early 2014.

Walker Evans beadlocks sit inside 37Ē BFG KM2ís for a fantastic looking wheel and tire package. Poison Spyder body armor with color matched plates give Tomís rig a clean and rugged look.

Drivetrain upgrades will keep him panning on tough to reach streams and rivers thanks to RCV front and Ten Factory rear axles. JE Reel 1310 drivelines connect transfer case power to differentials and a sleeve/gusset/skid package keeps his Rubicon D44 housing straight and true.

Our HALO roof rack gives him plenty of storage uptop while still being able to remove his front freedom hardtop panels.

Interesting upper Ca's on the back. Looks different. Question, does this have the same flex, or more, as a triangulated 4 link suspension? Is the main benefit as to not have to relocate the fuel tank?

It's our in house designed and built reverse triangulated 4-link. More flex with zero strain (aka over articulation) on the control arm joints.

You do not have to relocate the fuel tank or run a rear track bar with this configuration.

Do a few tweaks and some fine tuning and it might be a decent kit.

I'm interested to see how much rear-steer you get out of that rear link setup. Awesome looking build!

I thought this setup was pretty cool but a friend told me this.

The Uppers better stay pretty flat. Droop it out and Add some power and that pinion may end up pointing at the moon.

Any thoughts?

That is the major problem to overcome with a reverse 4 link. I made some suggestions for improvement and asked some question about the set up but was ignored.
