My new white wheels

I finally got my new wheels and tires mounted up and a friend of mine was able to take some pretty good shots. These are my favorites.

Here is the original thread about the wheels for those interested: https://www.jkowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123490

Creative! I think black would have liked better IMO though.

At first I wasn't going to like them but they look ok. The spare on the other hand...not so good. Obviously that's just my opinion and I believe everyone should build their Jeep the way they want it. I like that it's kind of unique. Most people do black wheels so it's different and I like it. Just something about the spare though.

I'll say the white steelies aren't my favorite, but they're a hell of a lot better than what many people are running these days. I'd rock it.

I'd put the plate within the spare to break it up a little.

I've grown to hate black wheels with 95% of the aftermarket JK wheels being BLACK and usually with some stupid fake beadlock. Sheeple!

I like them, I would have chosen a soft 8 or d-window pattern in the white still. Something about no holes on a wheel gets to me.

Thanks for everyone's honest opinions. I know it's not a look for everyone. But I agree with Goody..too many sheeple running ugly black wheels. I had to go with something different. They were very cheap so if I get bored of the look it won't be hard to swap them out for something else.

Soft 8s were actually one of my first choices. However I found these wheels, and had never heard of anyone running them before so I took the plunge. I'm hoping to see more people run these wheels in the future. I think they would look great body colored on many different color rigs actually, and white would even look good on some of the colors as well. Only time will tell if anyone else is brave enough!

Classic look in my opinion. Looks very similar to the old Chevy rims I ran on my blazer and Suburban. Also just like the Nato's on our Land Rover. Great strong wheels and easy to repair or like some have probably mentioned, diy beadlock. The weight was a factor for me when I thought about it but still love them. Good job man!

Nice, I was thinking land rover too. I like the solids and would live to get something like alcoas. I have the dreaded black with fakelocks . Wouldnt gave chosen them but they were part of a deal.

Unspoilt by progress.

Oh and some fashion advice. Go with open end lug nuts to complete the look; steelies and solid shank lug nuts don't go.

as far as weight goes, these clocked in at 24.8 lbs. Not too bad considering other 15x8 alloy wheels weigh 20 lbs.

I had thought about open end lug nuts, but I wanted wheel locks and it would have looks weird to have one lock and the rest open.

Quick update. Discount tire mounted up my wheels and tires originally. At that time the manager (also a friend of mine) told me that one of the wheels would not balance. He only put half the required weight on the wheel and it was already more than 2 or 3 times as much as the other wheels. So it is being used as a spare for the time being.

I called up Summit Racing and they sent me a new wheel at no charge (even though the policy states no refunds after a tire is mounted). I just have to box up the old wheel and send it back once I swap them out. The paint is curing on the new wheel and should be on in a few days. Summit Racing has excellent customer service and every time I order something I get it in less than 48 hours.

Looks good Catfish. I like your setup. What tires are you running on there?
