JK Half Doors - the Real Deal

SOLD!!

This one is hard to post with a price because it can fluctuate.

I've won a Gift Certificate (GC) for JK half doors from Mopar Performance Parts. The GC is valued "up to $2,500" and is specifically for JK Half Doors but the Mopar rep told me I could sell them or pick something else from the Mopar Performance Parts Catalog that I can maybe use or sell.

Anyway this gives me a good opportunity to cash out and give someone a good deal on a nice and expensive "upgrade" for their Jeep.

From what I understand the half doors come in 3 parts: the outer skin and frame, the trim panel inside and the top window half. Again from what I can see these run about $800+ per door. So a 4 door JK would max out the GC. The doors come in a black primer and have to be painted to your color.

What I'm looking for is 60% of the value of what someone would like to order. A $2500 order would give me $1500. A $2000 order would give me $1200 etc. From my perspective I would like someone who wants to order "close to the max" value of the cert to give me the most money.

If anyone is interested in this, I would first check with the Mopar Rep to see if I can "sell" the GC to you and get out of the middle. If not, I would order what you want, then we would trade $$ for product.

Let me know via PM or email. email: steveg at digitalisc.com

Thanks,

Steve

Most of the info I found came from this forum and was about a year old but it seems that a complete door, outer skin with frame, interior trim and window is over $800 per door. The Mopar Performance Parts website sucks and doesn't even have them listed. My Mopar contact said to go into a dealership and check out the catalog there.

Hopefully someone on this site can give us current info.

So far I found this:

http://www.moparsupercenter.com/jeep...bpkjk4drb.html

Four doors, all hardware and interior panels on sale for $2186 (retail $2599). This doesn't include the upper windows or final paint.

Mopar e-store listing
82212124 $1,100 Front Half Door Kit, primed, comes complete except for trim panels.
82212123 $1,150 Rear Half Door Kit, primed, comes complete except for trim panels.
82212125 $155 Front Half Door Interior Trim Panels, Khaki
82212126 $149 Front Half Door Interior Trim Panels, Black
82212127 $149 Rear Half Door Interior Trim Panels, Black
82212128 $149 Rear Half Door Interior Trim Panels, Khaki
82212131 $345 Front Upper Half Door Windows, Khaki
82212132 $345 Front Upper Half Door Windows, Black
82212133 $345 Rear Upper Half Door Windows, Khaki
82212134 $345 Rear Upper Half Door Windows, Black

And here's the installation kit instructions (which looks like you have to assemble the internals too):
Front Half Door Kit
Rear Half Door Kit

So it looks like it's roughly $1,600 for a primed 2-door kit and $3,240 for a primed 4-door kit. That's not bad compared to the price of piecing the kits yourself. And if you're only getting them to run half doors during nice weather, you could always skip the upper half. Maybe one of the parts dealers on here can see what kind of discount they can get people and when they'll be available to order.

D44 front

I looked on the website and it lpoks like you could use this deal to get a brand new D44 front axle for about 1500 bucks?

Patt, the Mopar Rep pretty much told me I could get anything I wanted. He suggested a Warn Winch because it should be easy for me to sell. But seeing as how these half doors are scarce and expensive, I figured to try to get the deal to someone who would appreciate it.

Personally I dig the way the half doors look. The way they follow the body line of the rear tub look much better than the full doors. The only negative I've read are that people may not like them in the winter, in colder climates.

So anyway, with the pricing that I linked in post #7 it looks like a set for a 4 door JK will run under $2200. That would be four door kits (includes all of the hardware), with black trim panels - no uppers (windows).

With the individual pricing, we could get a set for the 4 door JK with the khaki panels for a bit over $2500 - again no uppers/windows.

As I stated, I'm looking to get 60% of the total order price.

Anyone interested??

Steve

PS edit> and remember that these would be black primer; you'd still need to get them painted to match.

Just to let you guys know, this is in a holding pattern while one of the forum members works the deal around the SWMBO.

SWMBO stands for She Who Must Be Obeyed

One of the JKOwner Forum users should be taking posession of these over the next few days.

You are looking at:

1 box with 2 front half doors
1 box with 2 rear half doors
1 box with 2 khaki front inner panels
1 box with 2 khaki rear inner panels

with a retail value of $2,600.00

We'll open them up and inspect them all before they change hands. If this deal goes away for some reason, I'll post back up but otherwise I think this is a done deal.

Thanks for all that PM'd, emailed and posted up with an interest.

Steve
