They charge $378 for a set plus shipping. I don't know what they charge for shipping.

does MC confirm this? so a 3.5 2d coil will be a 2.5in lift on a 4d? this coil is used for 2.5 lift on a 4door?

They told me this over the phone, the reason I know so. The 3.5 2 door coils do not match part number for the 2.5 4 door coil set. I'd call them if you wanted to confirm it. The 2.5 was basically a bi-product of producing 3.5" coils for the 2 door.

The 2.5 and 3.5 coils are different for 2 and 4 doors. I have inquired and MC told me they do not recommend running 4 door coils on a 2 door or vise versa. They are tuned for each model.

Thanks for the heads up. I must have heard wrong when I was talking with them.

These are for a 2 door only. OP edited to say so.

Funny so who did you talk to? because it seems we are getting diff info from metalcloak.

i called and they said they are the same you just will lose a inch on a 4door and i emailed them and they said this.

Are the 2door 3.5 coils the same as the 2.5 coils for the 4door?

There Reply below
Chris,

Yes we do use the same coils for both listings. We found that when we ran them in the 4 door that it was a 1" drop in height but still worked the way we wanted them to.

Thank you

This is the same info I had gotten when I started comparing back when the GoldStadard promo was going on. I don't know who is right or wrong. I believe MC is knowledgable and I believe the 2.5" 4 door coils were just a bi-product of producing 3.5" 2 door coils.

I'll have to go back and check my PM's, but it was the MetalCloak rep on the forum.

Found it Edit:

Our 3.5" coils should give you about 4" on a stock jeep and will work fine with the arms that you have. The dual rate coils will ride better on road then what you are currently running and work better offroad.

If you have any questions that I can help you answer please let me know.

Thank you
Will

---------

Thanks Will,

I am starting to lean towards your coils. I have a 2 door and noticed you have coils specific to 2 door and 4 door models. Would the 2 door coils give me 4"? Do you offer any forum discounts?

I bought a set of used Teraflex front LCA's and replaced the joints in them. I wish I would have seen your stuff 1st and checked to see if you had joints that would work. The Teraflex joint suck. They ooze grease from the start.

Thanks again,
Gary

-----------

We designed our coils to sit at 3.5" with full body armor, bumpers, winch, and full belly skids. Sagging has been minimal so far. We do a 2 door and 4 door coil because the wight differance is huge. We tried a set of the 4door coils in a 2door and is was about 5" and didn't ride as well.

We did send a set of bushings to a customer for him to try in his teraflex arms to see if they will fit.

-------------

Well you're definitely at the top of the list. I wasn't expecting to buy springs and I'm a cheapskate. Do you guys offer any forum discounts or is the $378 listed on your site the best price.

Thanks again,
Gary

----------

I was told I could cover the shipping for you.

Thank you
Will

I'd take that's they tried 3.5" 4 door coils on a 2 door. They didn't work, so they went and created a 3.5" 2 door coils. Which in turn created the 2.5" 4 door coils, by-product (I just realized I spelled that wrong a few times by-product with a y and not an i).
