Ride of the Month - Jan '13 Vote Thread!

Ride of the Month - January 2013 - Snow Theme
Here they are guys. Pick your favorite picture to be posted on the JKOwners.com Facebook home page.
We've got 10 great entrants this month that all have very nice Jeeps in a snow theme. Being that this was a late start this month and that we've got the perfect number of 10 entrants, I'm opting to forgo the multiple vote rounds. I've set it up as a 10 option poll this month and the close date will end on January 26th and the winner will be announced on January 27th.

Metalcloak has offered a $100 gift certificate to the winner as well which really is appreciated. Thank you matsonian. Cheers.

Here are the entrants.

#1: sneck

Brookridge (private club property) this past weekend. Yeah bitches, snow in Mass, who woulda thought

#2: Goodysgotacuda

Denton, Texas [North DFW]...we don't get much snow!

#3: pluke the 2

Oh Huh

#4: Batman

#5: macknjack

the best snow shot i've got

#6: jason mac

Here's mine from a few weeks ago up on Wentworth near the Rubicon.

#7: Riptide

From today. I had to go up to one of our microwave sites for work. I knew the road wouldn't have been plowed yet, and took my jeep instead of the company truck (which probably wouldn't have made it up without chains).

#8: tiltz

This photo was taken for a test day at Reiter Foothills ORV park about an hour outside of Seattle. The photo was actually taken by a reporter for one of the local papers. It was good to see some positive media coverage for 4x4s.

#9: rpmk4

playing on the ex wifes property in the divorce present i bought myself

#10: ArticRubi

Snow run up in NH

Good luck everyone and happy voting!

Cool, voted. For myself, of course, macknjack probably deserves to win, that's a pretty sweet picture.

All great pictures. Love wheeling in the snow. The picture of mine was taken on Wentworth up near the Rubicon. We ended up getting stuck right after that pic for like 3 hours. 3 Jeeps all stuck and winching off each other. But still one of my favorite things to do. Good luck to everyone.

If I had to pick one other then mine I think I would have to go #7 Riptide. Very scenic picture. Good job.

I voted for Jason. If you knew how hard it was to get to that spot where he took that pic, you would too. Lol.

All great qualities for sure BUT I didn't care about any of that lol......

I voted for Goody because I've always liked the picture, great composition and an eery feel like an old Bela Lugosi/Boris Karloff movie. Transylvania night scene, got to be werewolves or vampires in those woods somewhere.

........My other hobbies include: Older cars and trucks; Spending money on unfinished projects, and continuing to not finish them...

Thanks for all the votes guys & gals. Appreciate all the support. That was a tough spot. If I remember correctly someone told us not to go that far up the trail, but we didn't listen and ended up getting stuck for a few hours. We ended up backing out about 2 miles before we could turn around. It did make for a fun trip, but very cold

I voted for myself... self serving interests

All the shots are awesome, but shout out to Riptide. That picture in fullsize view is pretty cool. Almost looks like its been touched up. Remove the modifications from the Jeep and the foot prints from the snow and that could be a Jeep Advert

Thanks. I did use an editor to sharpen the lines a tad (no clue what this does (it was an auto setting), but it did seem to make things crisper), and played around with the contrast a bit. Main difference was that it brightened it up slightly.

I wouldn't have felt right photo shopping the footprints out... but yeah would be nice if they were not there.

Am kinda jealous about some of the wheeling trips buddies can do down south. Up here we can't do squat in the winter as our snow is so fine that we can't get on top of it.
