I'm done with ROTM

I've been putting the Ride of the Month together for over a year now and I've enjoyed it thoroughly. However, life has changed for me and soon I won't be able to afford the time to put it together each month. I would like to pass the torch along to someone else at this point. PM me your desire to run this shindig and I'll clear it with HITMONEY and then I'll work on getting you trained up on how it works.

PS - I do intend on completing the June ROTM contest just posted.

And we thank you Apt for all you did to bring us ROTM

How I LEARNED TO STOP GIVING A SHIT AND LOVE MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE

Itís time to reevaluate the way we coddle the future generation. Making mistakes and getting hurt is how you grow. Teaching kids to fear Pop Tarts is how you promote xenophobia. Letís get it together, America.

Someone with a "thumbs up/ thumbs down" approach would be a welcome change.

Thank you for all that you did to keep this thing going!

What kind of time commitment does this require? I *might* be interested, unless it's a total time suck.

_
'76 CJ-7, '43 CJ-2a, '78 Bronco,'78 CJ-7, '75 CJ-5, '78 CJ-7, '80 CJ-7, '78 SJ, '79 SJ, '78 and a '76 FJ-40 , '90 XJ, '91 XJ, '86 CJ-7, '95 ZJ, '68 CJ-101 Commando, '00 TJ, '68 M-715, 2 '86 Military Blazers, '96 LR Discovery, '86 CJ-7, '91 YJ, '99 TJ, 07' JKU Rubi, 1988 YJ, 1973 Commando, 3 Diesel Excursions....
Now back to a 2013 JKU Rubicon with "stuff", planning 37's with minimal lift.

I've tried them all... Jeeps are still the best. (0||||0)

It's not that bad for time commitment really. For the submissions thread, it takes about 3 minutes to generate once you have a 'theme'. It's just copy/paste/edit/submit.
Compiling the submissions thread at closing takes about 10 - 15 minutes to save all of the pictures and names and upload to flickr account.
Creating the voting thread takes the longest at about 20 minutes from creation to submission since you have to upload the bb code for each one. But it isn't hard to do.
Then finally the winner announcement stuff takes about 5 minutes.
So, all in all, less than an hour a month, spread out over 2 weeks.
I'm pretty quick on a keyboard though, so some may have a different experience than I have.

Apt thank you for putting this together each month. I hope the changes in life are happy ones.

I'll help you ( or anyone) with this in any way necessary.

I cannot express my appreciation enough for the offer. This has been a great contest for many reasons and it would be a shame to have to see it end.

I will also push for administration to activate or renew stars for free to anyone that undertakes this responsibility. To coincide with that, I feel that APT should receive another free year of premium membership. Not sure if I can persuade admin but I will try.
