I'm Outta Here!!!

I have had all I can stand...

I am headed to the woods for a week.... or at least until Thursday anyway.

Home, sweet, home!

Got the new bow rack mounted in the mule. Just have to add the velcro straps to secure it in there.

Crappy pic but you get the idea.

No luck but did get to send some quality time in the woods!!

All the deer were nocturnal.... feeding at 10p and 2a usually

I am a patient bastard.... they will show up during the day time eventually.

Some porkers too....

Lil'G and I are going to give it another try on Thursday.

Looks like fun, Ron! Question, though. Why not shoot the oinkers? Good eatin'.

On another note, my brother-in-law got his first bow kill last Friday morning just as the sun was coming up. Took down a dow. Arrow passed all the way through her, too.

I need to get out for a weekend to camp and hunt.

I don't mind whackin' a big stinky (hog) but the big boars don't taste as good as the females or a little one. I usually find someone who makes tamales and give them the hog for trade. I will hunt them in the off season or take'em if a good opportunity pops up. Right now I need a night scope for my bow.....

Hardcore bowhunter!

Must take nap!

Then chug some hot chocolate (Butter Nut!) Then play some Call of Duty...

I sure don't remember having it this good when I was 7...

Right before he sacked out on the ground he told me "wake me up when the deer come out" ...... sumbish!

Nice pics Unl..

ShortB- I am headed back out there after work in Thursday. Hopefully the no moon phase will help things, along with the cooler weather. It should be 37 there in the AM. Not much but hopefully enough to start getting them frisky enough to do some early chasing

Headed back out again.... its been FOUR whole days and I can't stand it anymore. I can't get there fast enough...

Other than a quick run to College Station to watch TAMU BTHO tu I plan to be in the woods for a solid week.

Play nice while I'm gone...
