Probe of deer hunter's death centers on Montco lawyer

This story makes me sick and makes lawful hunters/firearms owners look bad once again.

Hunter's death

"Under federal and Pennsylvania law, a convicted felon cannot legally possess a firearm unless he has been pardoned for his crime or receives some other post-conviction relief. A search of Montgomery County Court and online public records found no indication of such relief.

Asked Monday how his nephew and former client could lawfully hunt with a gun despite a felony record, Marino declined to comment."

The good news is that he was charged with manslaughter, the bad news is that he wasn't charged with 2nd degree murder/reckless disregard, which he should have been. Here's a link: http://www.philly.com/philly/news/br...ers_death.html

Not only was he a felon in unlawful possession of a firearm, he was hunting with a rifle in a county in which rifles are prohibitted weapons. To top it off he had shot another hunter in a previous incident through his complete disregard. He was a felon prior to the earlier shooting and should then have been tried under state and federal "felon in possession" charges as well.

This time I hope and believe he will get what's coming to him.

He ain't a hunter, he's a felon and a waste of oxygen.
