Where do you fish

Salt Water, Fresh Water, Both? Feel free to discuss. I decided to also add an anywhere option for those of us who can't pass the fish department at the local Wal-Mart without thinking about fishing.

All who wander are Jeep drivers.

I just got back from a road trip down to Fla. did quite a bit of wade fishing, but for the most part I am a river guy, we do a little still water fishing out here in summer, but all winter it is the frozen tundra out here when it comes to fishing!

I live less than an hour from the Atlantic and only 15 minutes from one of the largest lakes in the East, so I fish both fresh and salt water. Most of time is spent on the lake or the surrounding streams and rivers because I can access those by canoe (read no gas). A trip out on the ocean costs big bucks anymore. That said, I still try to go a couple of times a year.

I just moved to Denver from Washington. didn't quite appreciate the fact that we have every type of fishing at our doorstep. From the Ocean to Puget sound, all the millions of small cold mountain lakes, large lowland lakes. Rivers, streams, headwaters, everything. We often would go crabbing, salt water fishing, claming, and freshwater fishing in a single day. Not out here! But I gotta say, there is some really nice lookin rivers out here.

I look forward to hitting some of these up this summer. Looks like I need to learn fly fishin though. Never hve done uch of that. But I have a basic understanding of fish behaviour so it should be fun to learn!

I live in South East/Central Louisiana, Sportsman's Paradise, need I say more. I live on Belle River which connects to Lake Verrett. I can also see the levee for the Achafalaya Basin from my house. These are both prime freshwater fishing areas for South Louisiana. I live about two hours from the Gulf Coast which includes Cocodrie and Grand Isle. Both prime Saltwater fishing areas for South Louisiana. Problem is that I work a lot and don't get to go very often. I go when I can.

I had about 30 minutes before the kiddie's got home from school and I caught not 1 but two largemouth at 3lbs each outside in my backyard. nice way to forget the crap at work... One had a nice size fish tail sticking out of its mouth. Looked like the pig couldn't even swallow it's previous catch and then hits my rubber worm... I love a pig. It was all fat and bloated as the previous fish was stretching it;s stomach.

I don't fish, but everyone around me does. 500lb + Tigers are caught off the beach often enough to make think twice about swimming. There is a Hammerhead breeding ground about 1,000 yds from me. Lady fish, tarpon, bonnetheads, crevalles, cobia, grouper, reds, trout, kings, skipjack, etc, are all in abundance just offshore. Redfish and trout are easy to catch in the ICW.

That was one expensive fish...cost me $200.00 just to catch it, $50.00 for some Japanese sushi bar owners to dress it, and another $50.00 for the poser pics...

Used to fish for Walleye, catfish, and yellow perch in Lake Erie when we had a cabin on Middle Bass Isd. Had a smokehouse and did a fish fry on last day each summer. Lots of fun family memories.

Ffwd to Texas...In the fall, we wade the flats for Flounder...when they begin running ...as the water starts to cool off from a couple of northerns. Stock the freezer and do em on the grill w/ crabmeat (blue) stuffing and lots of lemon butter...sometimes blackened.

Springtime yields redfish and specs in the bay. Nothin like hookin a bull red in a kayak. Serious fun.
