cheap/ jumkyard conversion to 5x5.5 bolt pattern

I see that there are a few kits out there to convert the JK from 5x5 to 5x5.5, but these are more expensive than I want to shell out. Is there a cheaper way? I like the idea of a lockout hub on a JK but it isn't necessary.

if I modified a spindle or had a new spindle made to mate with JK knuckle would a ballistic or dynatrac tone ring work for ESC and ABS?

I tried to search, but didn't see any great results.

Thanks

The only conversion kit I know of is the Spyntec (Solid Axle Industries). Works great, improves on highway performance & handling, gives about a 2 MPG improvement. Fixes the front dl vibe issue with stock housing. Unfortunately the total cost makes it somewhat unattractive. You have to swap out wheels, front inner axle shafts, axle u-joints & rear shafts. The latter is probably a good idea, anyway, but with sleeves, gussets & ball joints it all adds up to more than a PR44 or Tera44.

As far as a scrap yard swap, only ones I've seen or read about use Ford or Ram axles with unit bearings set up for the ABS sensor.

I've set to see easy/junkyard swaps for the front of a JK. For the rear, some aftermarket chromos will be dual drilled and just redrill the rotors.
