Everybody I know with a LOD bumper is happy with it. They are pretty heavy, though. They also have pretty long lead times. One of the guys I wheel with ordered LODs front and rear and waited 4 months for them.
I have the Gen 3 rear bumper with all the accessories (hi-lift, gas cans & trail rack) & 37" spare tire. It's been on for about 18 months and have nothing but love for it. No squeaks and the only rattle is from the jack itself.
It's a bit of a pain to install (just take your time) and the tire carrier must be adjusted per the instructions to make sure there are no rattles. Other than that, it's pretty maintenance-free. Just touch-up the powdercoat (order the 2-stage w/ zinc primer) if/after you smack it in the rocks and give the hinge pin a shot of grease every so often and you're good to go!
Sure my rig has seen the trail, but I wheel it like a soccer mom looking for a parking spot at Nordstroms. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Im mainly wanting it so itll hold up to the bigger rim/tires and the bolt on accessories. Im not going to be doing any extreme crawling, just trail riding and hopefully not getting stuck anywhere. haha!
I have LOD front and rear. I really like my rear bumper and the powder coating is fine. Chris told me he's using a different coater now and results are much improved. Add twice the time to whatever anyone tells you on lead time though, unless you happen to order one when they're being built. My only complaint was being told inaccurate lead times.
