Torn boot on newer ball joints

About a year ago i had my ball joints replaced with synergy joints. I just noticed the boot on the passenger side upper was torn. Could this happen when off roading or more likely done at install?

Your suppose to leave them off until after install on the uppers. The torn boot is most likely from install. Synergy sells replacements.

I install the uppers with the boot on and the lowers with it off. No real reason for the tear outside of install error
