39.5's on 15x10 - BS 3.75"

I just bought some 39.5x18x15 Boggers, I ordered some Black (rock) Crawler wheels 15x10 with a back spacing of 3.75", should that be enough?

Anyone with 40's chime in, how wide is your tire? what wheel are you running? Whats your back spacing? Any rubbing?

I think !5's are too small for a 40. The sidewall is to big but i might be wrong. Ive seen it with beadlock and when deflated the still pop out of the beadlock.

it had dana 60,s front and rear

the only reason i brought it up is every says the rim is to small to hold a bead

i ran my 44s at 15 psi on the road
and off road id pull the cores out and run 2 to 3 psi
so you will be fine with that setup

ive always liked more rubber than rim

but i like driving over stuff more than i like driving around

I've got 40x17x14.50 BFG KM2 tires mounted on 17" Centerline I.C.E. bead locked wheels.

I have little bit of rubbing on the rear tires (piece of metal where the rock rails end), but only when they're fully stuffed. That will be trimmed on Tuesday.

I'm running 38"x14.5 on 16"x10" wheels with 3.5" backspacing. At full lock turn in either direction slight frame rub up front. I only have 3.5" lift with Xenon flares.

BS should be good 3.5 would be ideal. Did you check to make sure that particular 15" rim will clear the rotors on the JK?

As for the 40's your lift and choice of fender flares will determine the majority of rubbing issues. Other then that you might have some limited rubbing at full turn, especially at full lock while flexed...

The first concern would be the 15" inner diameter of the rim not clearing the rotors and brake components though.

Don't forget the pictures.

I am aware of the issue (im balls deep in jk info). But all's I can do is hope that they will. If they dont, Ill send em back and order something else. Not a big deal.

Sorry my lift is currently 7"s (which is more like 5-6). I have a 1" BL if i need it, but would rather just put on tube fenders.

Tires are rubbing the frame, and axle is centered, so its equal on both sides.
Am i reading that right, your looking to run an 18" wide tire? Unless your axles are wider than stock or you run less back spacing i cant see how they WONT rub.

we'll see i guess! I got the alot of lift, but I may have to kiss my flares goodbye. If they dont fit I have access to some 38.5's.

Burnsville is working on a Jk with 42"s and 3 inches of lift. I know NOT the same but they had rub issues too it appears in this pic. Also where my rub is.

X2 They are going to rub. Most 37's rub when flexed up, so a tire that wide and that big is going to rub regardless of amount of lift.

On the street all that sidewall is going to make it a little floaty, but still pretty drivable, and of course they will look cool

X2 Seems an extreme way of dealing with tire rub.
