lift install question

So i installed a TF 2.5" coil lift this weekend. All went well despite being new to suspension upgrades. My question is why do u have to loosen up the control arms and then tighten them again when the jeep is sitting back on the ground again. The control arms seem to all be on pivot points anyways at each end, so i dont see what it matters. I did it as instructed, and it rides great after all is done, just hoping to understand why i did it, lol...

Some control arms have fixed rubber that stays in place when you tighten them in the bracket. If you put a lift on and don't loosen the bolt, the arm will be preloaded and cause the Jeep to sit different.

If he was aiming down the sights correctly and had plenty of practice rounds under his belt, there would only be one side of this story.

I'd say so, however a pretty negligible amount. Probably won't be able to tell much of a difference before and after.
