Baffle Plate and Inner Bearing Race

Has anyone had any issues getting the inner pinion bearing race out of the diff housing? Also the baffle plate that's in there, why doesn't a master install kit have a new one?

I used a brass rod to get the races out to Avoid creating burrs.
My Yukon master install kit did come with them but I bought some from the dealer be fore I got it. They are less than a buck from the dealer.
Since it has been a while since I removed it can anyone show me the orientation of the baffle as it sits in the housing? Raised part inward or outward?
Thanks
