RK 3.5 X install questions/rear swaybar

Ok, let's say one has installed the RK 3.5 X kit and did everything but the relocation of the rear sway bar. By RK's directions, due to the rear axle moving back 1" you are to also relocate the rear sway bar back 1".

So, if some person(not me of course) did not relocate the sway bar what problems would arise.

Thanks

The rear sway bar links could hit the rear upper arm mounts on the axle! That is it...

Thanks RK.

I was under the rear last night looking at my rear shock mounts and realized the sway bar was not relocated. I didn't notice any contact being made between the links and rear upper arms but I'll look closely tonight.

What I noticed was that the rear links were angled slightly forward, makes since, the axle went back. Was wondering if I loose anything with these links not being straight up and down?

Also, I think you provided 4 self tapping bolts for this relocation...I don't have them. What size were they?

Thanks RK! Also, got all my RK steering goodies installed, so damn sweet!!!

It won't kill you, but in full stuff the links might make contact and bend. You might want to check that. The rear swaybar is pretty light so it is not a huge deal to have a little angle on the links...

BTW,

We are working on this for the rear as a direct replacement for the OEM...

We will be testing it from the spring through the fall. Fatigue and cycles are most important with a rear sway bar.

The screws we supply are 3/8 flandeg self tappers.

Have a good weekend!
