RK 3.5 sway bar link hitting spring

Hey guys,
I installed the RK 3.5 flex system. The RK sway bar links could not be removed from the passenger side lower without hitting the lower front spring perch and the RK link is hitting my driver side front spring. So I installed my JKS sway bar links back on.
Now I can remove the links. My issue with the driver side sway bar link is still present as there is maybe 1/32 " from contacting the spring. It will contact the spring under normal driving conditions. I can not for the life of me resolve this issue.
Any help or input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

do you have flex arms installed? if so, your front axle is possibly pushed forward just a smudge.

I switched to Curries Anti Rock sway bar ...and it won't hit now.

Yes, I have all 8 arms installed. I have checked the lengths about 6 times. I am also running aftermarket drive shafts front and rear. I shortened the lowers about an 1/8 to help the front pinion. I just don't want to pull this bitch apart again

Did you get it aligned yet. This made a difference for me. I have and inch of clearance which is all you need.

I have centered the front/rear axles and set the pinion angle. I will probably shorten the front control arms (upper n lower) sometime this week. I am just really tired of working on this Jeep right now. When I get frustrated I start breaking sh!t

My drivers side came out very close, maybe a 1/4" clearance. I was unsure about it till I flexed it and nothing hit. The passenger side has over 1/2" clearance.

Like others have said, shorten your arms a smidge maybe?

That is definitely not right, but the wierd thing is, from what little we are seeing from your picture, the coil appears to be centered on the stem pretty well...

Give us a shout...

Looks like I have the uppers 1/8" longer than the recommended length. I'll just run it without the sway bar hooked up. I should have time Friday a.m. to pull all 4 arms again.

Had the same problem...took it to 4wheel Parts and they couldn't figure it out. Now running Rubicon Exp and Currie Anti Rock in the front and all is good.

Note: Nothing wrong with RK I just couldn't get them to work with my set-up. Hopefully you'll get it worked out.

To be honest with you, it could be the sway bar links you are running. I think our links are much longer and put the sway bar up and out of the way further.... We are not sure, but it is food for thought!

Wouldn't the coil spring wedges help alleviate this issue? They took care of my driver rear spring rubbing the lower track bar bolt.

Did you relocate the bar? The instructions with my RK said to move the bar forward about an inch. Came with the screws to do it.

If it's a Rubicon, I think that may be a little harder to do.

This is the front sway bar.
RK; Your links are longer, but this will have me more than the +/- 5 degrees from level.
Because I have the uppers 1/8 longer than is recommended, this will effect the sway bar contact to a larger degree than an 1/8. So for the most part, when I shorten the upper arms to the correct length supplied by RK it should alleviate the issue

+/- 5 degrees from level won't hurt you. It is a sway bar and it really only cares about it's relative position side to side within reason!

Check out some of the KOH rigs and how jacked their sway bars are! Hope that helps.

I had the issue in the rear as well. I loosened the jam nuts on both sides and rotated the track bar more to the rear. No problem after that.

From the picture, it didn't look like the JKS discos were making contact. Looked like the swaybar itself was what would make contact.

I'd still suggest getting a set of RK's coil spring correction wedges. Cheap fix and very easy install.
