Painting 2011 Interior Body Match

Well yesterday i decided to paint the unmatched Silver acents in my 2011 body match white.

Turned sweet.

I removed all the interior pieces and wet sanded them with 500 grit paper. 2 quick coats of paint then i let them dry for 4 hours before wet sanding them again with 800 grit.

Then 2 more coasts of paint and a nice long bake in the oven for 3 hours at 175

Looks deadly i think.....should have been body matched from the factory.

I also decided to paint the speaker grills for the tweeters.

scuff the plastic with a scotchbrite pad, wipe with acetone and use an adhesive promoter and you should have no issues with any automotive paint. The adhesive promoter is just a clear primer.

Damn that looks good. I gotta say, I love the interiors on the 2011-12's I like the color match too but I won't be doing it anytime soon. One of the disadvantages to a black Jeep lol.

Couple of bolts, couple of clips etc. Takes 10 minutes, I cant remember exactly. Round about is putting the steering column down checking for any bolts and pulling the dash panel toward you.

Thanks! Rock Hard Sport Cage. I,m actually adding a few pieces to it so it looks a little more complete with the half top off.
