Rubicon locker to X model

I bought a rubicon rear locker, because everyone said that it should fit in my X model. Has anyone actually tried this and been successful? If so, what did you have to do?

Thanks

I haven't tried it, but at minimum you'll need a set of axleshafts from a Rubicon. (or intended for a Rubicon, if you're going aftermarket shafts) You won't be able to run the sensor for the 4WD indicator naturally, and you'll need to figure out a way to get the locker wires through the housing.....but I think it could be made to work.

For my time/money, unless you got a screaming deal on the Rubi locker, I'd stick with a commonly available aftermarket locker instead. (ARB, Eaton, etc.)

What would you classify as a deal?

Send a message via Yahoo to WTF_LOL

I imagine buying a new Rubi locker from a dealer ship won't be a lot less then an aftermarket, at least not enough to make it worth your time and effort.

PM prozack on this forum. He can get good deals on OEM parts. I think that will be your best starting point. If it is not much cheaper then a aftermarkey locker you might as well go that route
