37's, automatic, and 4.10's

I'll be installing 5.38's within the next month but my tires wheels and lift are here and ready to go on and I cant wait any longer! I'm assuming this thing will be drive able just sluggish with the 4.10's? Just turn the OD off on the interstate?

Your shift points and speedo will be off if you don't have a programmer, but otherwise you will be fine. I found the od off button was always good before 5.38's.

I am a troll. Do not take my advice. It isn't going to help.

Ran that way for about 9 months till I got my regear. You'll downshift on the hwy more since it can't hold OD on small hills but its not a prob. And you can fix that with a programmer. Aev has a low cost one that is only about 140.00.

08 2Door Red Rubicon. Rock Krawler 5.5 Longarm Coilover, Polly rear Coilovers. AEV hood & wheels, 37"KM2s, JE Reel 1350 shafts, 5.38 Yukon gears, Superior axles, Shrockworks stubby, Fab Fours rear, sPod, Rebel Offroad brakes, Warn winch and lots more.

Yep. Get the Procal to calibrate for speedo and shift points. Around town is fine, but interstate OD off. I am running 4:10 and will for a bit longer.

You be fine with out the overdrive but the biggest change well be gas mileage if it sucks with small tires its gonna suck even more.

The 4.10s will give you a real incentive to re-gear sooner rather than later.

Your six speed has one overdrive gears. Anything less than 1:1 is an overdrive gear...The auto's have a cog gear for overdrive however, 0.64:1 4th compared to 0.84:1 6th.

Bah, I meant to edit that as one overdrive gear. As far as "cog" it was a exaggeration of a steep gear. Really too steep of a gear split which is why kicking in and out of OD is such a big deal in the autos.
