Teraflex QDs noob questions.

Went out wheeling this past Sat. and I noticed when a discoed the passenger side that corner seem to drop about an inch or so. Got the drive side off and went wheeling. Had a blast with the new lift and QDs. Got to the service station to get ready to the for the trip back home. Went to reconnect the QDs and notice that if I put one side on the other seems to be off about an inch. So to get it back on I put the passenger side on first then had my wife push down on the drive side bumper to close the gap. Got it back on and all is good.

Here's my JKU info
Teraflex 2.5 coil lift
Teraflex 0-3" QDs

On to the questions.
1. Should the JKU drop when I disco?
2. Is there some kinda of issue when I connect one side and the other side doesn't line up?
3. Anybody else notice the bushings feel tight on the post?

I'm wondering if I installed something wrong even though I don't see how.

I was thinking the sway bar is warped. From what I wouldn't know. Either way I just know its a 2 person job with a little bit of rubber mallet in there to get the QDs on and off the post.

I've got a Rubi and have never disco'd a sway bar in my life so take this for what it's worth.

I think what you're describing is normal. The sway bar is connected to keep the axle from moving up and down so much while driving on the road. When you disco it, you're doing so because you WANT it to move up and down more while OFFroad. I've seen many people need a helping hand from someone rocking the side of the Jeep up and down when reconnecting.

I'm sure someone will chime in, but I hope this helps a little.

Like I said, I push a button and I'm done so this is kinda outta my realm.

Blast you and your push button E disco. lol Yeah if it's one of those normal things of wheeling then I will chalk it up to another learning lesson.

If you're on level ground this is not normal unless you have a lot of sag on one side or the other. Both arms of you're sway bar should be in the same plane, and the links should be the same length. It is common for the right side to sag a little on JK's, but an inch is a lot.

I have to make sure I'm on level ground and even then one side may be off a little. If I can't find level ground I will pull one side up on a small rock or railroad tie. One thing I do know is those storage postsare worthless. Two different lifts and two different wheels/tires and each time the tires rub the link when they are disconnected. Now I just remove the whole link when I go wheeling.

So far I'm running 32" Dynapro MTs and have no rubbing issues. We'll see when it comes time for 35s. I haven't really measured the difference it's more of an eyeball measurement. So it is most likely less. The lift kit is just over a month old and hasn't been wheeled till then.

I have the edisco and the JKS quick disco's. I have never used the edisco, don't want no damm computer telling me what it wants to do. Anyways I have the same problem hooking backup. Usually after i put one side on I back up a little bit and that seems to help alot.

I have the same set up my edisco has been nothing but trouble. Everytime I reconnect my disconnects I have to find level ground and push on the bumper to get everything hooked up. This is completely normal.

Yeah just sounds like I just need to make sure I'm on as level ground as possible. I saw the TF sway kit it looks pretty neat but not sure I would drop that much money to replace something that just takes a little elbow grease to do.
