Was I expecting too much?

Just had rubi 44's put under my jeep and I thought the 4:10's would help with the heavier tires a little but if anything it feels worse..still doesn't like to stay in OD on the slightest incline. I had 3:73's so I understand it's not a huge change.

More information would help us here.

4.10s and an auto with 35s or larger is still going to feel like 4.10s/3.73s with 35s.

Sounds about right, given nobody "regears to 4.10s". +"295/70" doesn't mean a whole lot without the rim diameter.

Probably. Mine does that with 4:10's and 33's. I'll think long and hard about a regear before moving up tire sizes.

Yeah I was looking into the same boat to upgrade my 3.73s to cheap used 4.10s but the more I read the more I believe I need to save my penny's and look into a 5.13 or 5.38 if I wanna move up to 35s.

did you get your comp reprogrammed or do you have a flash-pac to change the gear ratio for the tranny?

that's what I was thinking too, I just assumed they changed it when they did the swap..I'll check I think my aeroforce gauge can change it.

for the record it was a free swap to the axles with the 4:10's and lockers..I knew it wouldn't be night and day different I just assumed it'd be noticeable

You'll be a LOT happier when you regear to 5.13's or 5.38's.
