Rubi D44 vs. Sport D44

Is a Rubicon D44 the same as a Sport D44, minus the locker?

Reason I ask is because I just got my 4.88 gears delivered and the box says "RUBICON JK D44 R&P 4.88 THICK" on it, and my JK is a Sport model. Is this gear set going to work for me? Also, were there any changes among the model years? Will the earlier JK D44 stuff work on my 2011?

Thanks.

I don't think the Rubi and Sport 44s use the same ring & pinion. Check with the gear vendor.

All the JK44 gears use the same 3.73 and down carrier. All JK 44 4.10and up gears will be 'thick'.

I just ordered 5.13 gears and asked a few vendors the same questions and each told me the 44 used the same gears Rubi or not.
