Is this a good motor for diesel swap???

ad from craigslist

I bought this for a project but it is not going to work. This is a 1989 Nissan FD35T 3.5l Turbo Diesel Engine from a UD cabover flatbed. This is a full frame cut with all engine accessories and 5-speed transmission complete to output shaft. It is rated around 130 HP and 295 lb ft torque. Odometer on truck had 98000. I was able to hear it run. It had an exhaust brake built into it as well. This should be a good fit if you were considering a 4BT cummins for your project as it is very similar in size at half the price. Has power steering, and air conditioning units as well as radiator. Would be a very good fit into jeep, truck, buggy, etc. $1900 and pretty firm on price. Email for more info. I can help partially load but we may need a low trailer or engine crane to help.

The problemo with the Japanese industrial diesels is the torque is developed at a higher RPM, unlike the 4BT. None sure about this particular one, but pretty universal application issue.
