Springless coilovers?
|
Can this be run without harming the shocks?
In other words, I wanna change out my shocks to coil overs, but cant afford the whole setup, but will run my lift kits' springs in the factory location with the c/o shocks in the OEM spots too.

I don't know if there is a specific set up for the JK to run springless but a lot of buggies run shocks only. Walker Evan makes air shocks for a springless set up but no idea if those would work on the JK. If you are talking about running springless coil over shock, personal opinion, I would not do it since the shock is not designed to support the full weight of the Jeep
edit: just re read and saw you would run the coil springs. I would just wait until you can afford to install the coilover shock and spring together. Maybe you would be ok and maybe not, but I say have some patience and wait till you have to entire correct seup.
