This is driving me absolutely nuts and I've decided I've got to fix it:
1) Clicking noise from rear of vehicle occurs only when coasting with no throttle. If I apply throttle it goes away immediately.
2) The clicking is very intermittent. I can go for days/weeks at a time without it happening.
3) Last time I pulled the diff cover everything LOOKED ok in the pumpking.
So, I guess it could be the wheel bearings? I'm not super familiar with the rear end so I'm not sure what/how to check everything. I do have an upper control arm bolt that keeps working itself loose but I don't think that is related.
For reference my rear end has Yukon 5.13 gears using a Motive Gear install kit and running an Auburn ECTED. The gears were installed by a club member that has done gear installs for over 15 years with no complaints I'm aware of.
Anyone got any ideas?
