So the new guy wants new gears...

Hey guys. For those of you who don't know me I'm new around these jeepin' parts and I wanted to upgrade my gears. I really don't know much about gear ratios but all I do know is that death may occur with the rig I'm setting up with the stock X gears. To be honest I don't know what I'm running now but it's an 09 X without the tow package. I started lookin at gears and to be honest I'm confused as f*ck. I have the Dana 44 rear and the Dana 30 front. What should I be looking at if I want to preserve my milage as much as possible with my 34" super swampers (they're on the way) and still be able to move around town. Should I be doing a higher ratio up front and a lower in the rear? Also as a side note when I regear to save some install money (gunna take it to a shop cuz obviously I'm a bit too dumb to do this by myself) I was going to put in lockers. I heard nasty things about the air locks so I'm thinking if I do do a locker it would be an ox locker or a Detroit locker. Good pick? Any help is much appreciated. also keep it simple for me, I read some of the other posts and was still confused. Lol

its important that you know you need the same ratio gears in the front and rear. Like stated above, 5.13 auto 4.88 6 speed. Locker wise, you just have to do your homework since a lot of it is personal preference. I like my detroit, but it's not for everyone

Well if I do buy my own gears and bring it to a shop what would I need to buy? I'm looking at these from quadratec.
quadratec.com/products/52419_95X_C_PG.htm
quadratec.com/products/52419_95X_A_PG.htm
Both in the 5.13 ratio. Do I need to buy new bearings and seals? Or could I reuse the old ones? (my jeep only has 33k miles on it mind you)

I'd buy overhaul kits with Timken bearings...trouble free way to go

Okay so I'm ready to buy my gears. I decided to get the G2 5.13 gears. I also was going to upgrade my carrier to OX lockers (27 spline Dana 30 front with 3.73 and higher gear ratio and 30 spline Dana 44 rear all ratio). Besides the install kits and a pro install what else do I need?

if i had to do it again, i'd lock it up, add axle sleeves and gussets and lower control arm skids.

thats just me.
