I got the double sheer set up from com4x4, very beefy! Haven't had the time to finish my tire carrier but it looks like it'll hold up very well.
With the comp set up you weld the sleeve in then drop the spindle in the sleeve and use the roll pin and gusset to keep it from coming out. The idea being that you don't have to weld to the spindle, I guess this is a common failure point, the spindle actually breaks at the weld. Plus if for what ever reason you need to take your tire carrier off you just pull the role pin and all that's left behind is the whole where the spindle drops in.
