D30 eaton e locker clarification please, 3.73 and up? or the lower ones?

I just want to make sure i'm ordering the right one.

EAT19818-010 Gear ratio 3.73 and up numerically

is that correct or do i need the lower ratio because of the JK gear thickness? I searched and all i came up with was questions for the rear 44.

Thanks guys

The D30 takes standard D30-break carriers. It's the rear that's weird- it only takes the smaller carriers, due to the larger JK-specific ring gears- Mark W.

Back in a '94 YJ! Well, after I sink $$$$ into it...

Thanks guys, i just wanted to make sure.

This thing only gets wheeled 3 or 4 times a year, otherwise i'd be going with a stronger option.

Thanks again.

FWIW- There is no stronger option. The Dana 30 version of the ELocker is a great unit. The 44?...Not so much.

i mean a stronger axle lol. If i didn't have the TJ on tons i'd be building the JK a little stronger. Really it just sees some fire roads, and will see some blues/blacks this fall. i did contemplate the 30 spline super 30 kit, but i'd rather break a shaft than a r&p

Out back i have a stock rubi D44 that i'm putting 5.13's and rockstars in.

up front i'm doing Gussetts and sleeves (since it'll be apart anyway), poly balljoints (would love dynatracs but can't drop the coin for how mild this is built), Alloy USA shafts, lca skids, and an eaton locker.

I figure i can do all of it for around 1800-1900 bucks... which is exactly how much $ i made selling my XJ. So it works out.

Isn't that 19818-010 only for 71-06 Wrangler D30's? Wonder it one would fit in a 2012 D30?

And since this thread is about to have a birthday, how do you like the locker 2K?
