Show your cheap side

So this thread is dedicated to cheap/ghetto/silly fixes or mods to your jeep for under $50 home made. The first one I did with my friends was made a mirror so when we pull our doors off we just drop it in the hinge like the $70+ removable/quick release mirror. And the best part it was free! We just used spare parts that were hangin around. So, show us what you got.

I refuse to show exactly how many things on my Jeep are zip tied or duct taped! Actually as of yesterday I now have bailing wire too!!

Would love to see a couple other pics and know which mirrors you bought.. they look fantastic! Hands down, great job! Did you paint them black yet?

I painted them with semi-gloss black..... and used the Smittybilt Old School CJ Mirrors = $33.00

I can use them doors on or off........ but just use them for doors off !!!

Thanks for liking my handy work........

The Project is moving forward.

looks like it needs about triple the bungees
or you wasted $20, might as well just spend the 60 and get spiderwebshades jkini
or forget bestop crap and get an ORH since tim seems to have gotten his shit together nad you have a decent chance to get an ORH in hand before a BTNX

as for my cheap stuff, hell my whole damn rig is an exercise in poor boy mods!
thats why most parts are home made or at least home modded.

try cutting it off at the sound bar for a mini shade cover and see if that helps. or do like venom said and pay up for the tried and true products

Not as sexy as Poly but, if it don't work, it's time for bigger axles!

Had the pair of 10" subs installed. Needed/wanted more secure storage when the top was off. Had a matching box made for $30. The other $20 went to cable, eye bolt, hasps and padlocks. Cable/eye bolt secure it from the inside so it can't be lifted. Hasps/locks secure it to the subs box making it so big and awkward, the only way you're moving it or getting in is with a LOT of noise and destruction of the box.

Always follow a great leader. In the absence of a great leader, BE ONE.
