Question about Rancho 9000XL shocks..

I got a set of Rancho 9000XL adjustable shocks. At first I had a problem... when I collapsed the shaft on one of the shocks by hand, the shock would then extend out on its own only to half way and stop. Since working it a bit, it now extends fully.

HOWEVER, the other shock extends at a much faster rate when you let go and this one is slow. Should I return one of these shocks and if so which, the slower one?

on my shocks there was never any pauses. so id return the one that stops half way and then retracts. i'd also call rancho.

You're running OME shocks, how are you comparing that to his Ranchos?

I run these also. THey are great on and offroad with adjustments. I did rip off the rear adjust pieces so now I grab them with vise grips to adjust. This is a pain and I would imagine that anyone that plays on the rocks will also have this happen to theres. Other than that they seem to hold up well and ride great turned down for the street.

Please keep me in the loop. Install them and make sure you are comfortable with them. If not PLEASE take advantage of the below.

Why did you switch to OME? Did you not like the Ranchos? My replacement shock is now back ordered.
