Need some advice...

first, a little background about my JK. It's my DD and I have a very short commute to work. I spend quite a bit of time out of the country for work, so I'm not putting a ton of miles on it. As of today, there is 75XX on the clock. I purchased the JK with 19 miles on it in December of 2009. The 3" BDS lift and 35" KM2s were installed at purchase time.

now, this is where i need some advice. the only maintenance i've done was switched to royal purple and rotated the tires. i was putting the top up recently and notice when i was pushing on the channeling, the jeep was squeaking as it rocked. what might be causing the noise? what other stuff should i check based on length of time owned verse mileage driven?

i'm a newbie when it comes to maintenance and love learning new stuff about my jeep everytime i install something. please be kind with your responses, i'm new here and a chick, i might take it personally...

The squeak as it rocks is most likely the bushings in your suspension. Pretty common.
Keep changing the oil and other fluids, rotate them tires and drive the ISH out of it. Enjoy.

Could be a bushing as suggested. I also had a squeak that was coming from where one (or both) of the rear springs sits on the axle. Just a small bit of dirt or rust can cause it. Just shoot some WD40 or PB Blaster where the spring contacts the bracket.

May not be the issue you're having- but could be.
