Powder Coat or Paint Coil Springs????

Anyone have experience with either? Does the baking process or cooling process effect spring rate or durability? With paints, which should I look at that will withstand the flexing of the spring?

Powdercoat. Never had an issue - and remember springs come from the MFG powdercoated to begin with.

Many springs come powder coated so I don't think heat is an issue, and IIRC powder coating only requires 400F or so.

If you paint them I would think the trick is to get good adhesion and not have the paint too thick, but I'm only guessing.
