Rig update

Here are a few new pics. First is the rig with axles removed. The next pics are of the rear 9" axle it's a ruff stuff housing, center section is 1/4 steel tubes are 3 1/2 diameter DOM 3/8" thick. The front will be a custom built 9" housing with old school ford 44 Cs so it will have locking hubs yet still have the tone ring for the ESP/ abs speed sensors. The rear will have JK outers on it using 9" axle shafts machined to hold the tone ring

Ok here is the custom front 9" . 3" tubes 1/2" thick running 35 spline shafts and Arb was going to run 5:13 gears but changed to 6:00s instead and got on the waiting list for the 41" pitbull rocker radials

My builder will be offering bolt in 9" axles for the JK. Stronger and cheaper than a pro rock 44

I really like what you are doing, but I think I would have gone with dana 60 outers using currie rock jock unit bearings, and make the rear full float.

Why run unit bearing? Old school 44 Cs are not going to bend, and is much stronger and more reliable then unit bearings. Will be running custom rcv shafts. The rear was done this way so it would be an affordable swap for the JK. This way it will be an install ANYONE can do.

looks like front 9 with choice of gears and an ARB 3" tubes 1/2" thick gusseted Cs will be between $3300 and $3700 will have custom axle shafts. you will use your stock outer. one option that will be available is to upgrade to 35 spline shafts and ARB. now try to compare that to a prorock built..

For those of you not familiar with the 9" below the first picture is a 44 with 410 gears lower gear ratio would be even smaller. The second picture is the 9" with 600 gears. 9" dwarfs the 44 even with 410s
