T-Case

I have a 2018 JKU Sport, automatic, and am looking to upgrade my Transfer Case to something with a lower range. I have been considering the Atlas 2 speed (3.8 to 1 ratio), but just recently learned that, like the Atlas, the NVG 241OR RockTrac Transfer Case (4.0 to 1 ratio) can also be operated in 2 Lo with the addition of an aftermarket upgrade. Since I have not been able to locate this aftermarket product my question(s) are: 1) does anyone know who makes the conversion to allow the NVG 241OR RockTrac Transfer Case to run in 2 Lo 2) If it was your rig, which way would you go, the NVG 241OR RockTrac or the Atlas?

Thanks

241OR is a good case, Atlas is arguably better, but also more expensive.

Here's the kit you were talking about. https://teraflex.com/shop_items/jk-2...ift-sector-kit

I went back and forth with the atlas and rubicon. I decided rubicon for a number of reasons but biggest is price. I picked up a case for $700 that needed new shift pads. I can install it in an afternoon. An atlas requires a lot of modification. If you install it yourself you might get away about $4k, installed by a shop, $6k is what another member told me he paid. You also have to replace or recut the driveshafts as the atlas sits closer requiring shorter front and longer rear shaft.

I just installed a 241or with the 2low kit. I am pleased. Cost and installation were the main factors against an Atlas. I have an Atlas in an FJ40 and normally its easier to hit reverse than do a dig. It is cooler just not worth it at this time for us.
