metal cloak steering install

I just put on the Metalcloak HD steering kit https://metalcloak.com/jk-wrangler/j...t-edition.html and after install, it seems like i have a very slight clunk when barely turning from side to side, while moving. Theres really no rhyme or reason, just seems like sometimes just as you start turning. The clunk may be something thats been there all along and im just hypersensitive because im looking for issues after install.

I also get a intermittent grinding noise when at full lock, It was too dark to determine and I will examine whats rubbing in the morning, but, any tips on where to look would be helpful. Its on stock rubicon wheels at this point, waiting on my spacers.

Also, I tightened the ball joints (I assume this is what the ends are on the tie rod and drag link) nuts to 50 lbs ft., is this correct or should it be different ?

Thanks.

Did you grease all the ends? If it’s a ride end that’s “clunking”.

Yes, they're all greased, I will recheck them tomorrow to make sure they all have enough.

The steering shaft can make a slight clunking sound and feel. I bought one of those kits that puts a small spring on the shaft with a couple of clamps. Been running it about 4 years and it works well.

Did you check your rod end clearance to the wheel? A lot of after market steering links won't work with factory wheels as you need more back space. The end may be contacting the inside of the wheel at full lock.

As far as a clunk, double check all the torque on the bolts and backlash at the steering box.

It seemed to be a loose bolt on the track bar, axle end. I tightened it down and it solved the issue.

BUT, after getting it aligned, it seems like the noise/feel is back, ever so slight, but no it as soon as i start to turn either direction. I guess ill climb back under to see if I can find it again.
