Thinking about lift tires gears combo

Looking at the future of this thing now, so I thought that to save money in the long run I'd get my lift set up before gears and tires.

Would the metal cloak 2.5" game changer lift work with 37s and flat flares? What is the minimum lift for those bad boys? Thinking of gearing my d30/44 to 4.88 or 5.13 and trussing them both, and higher spline countt axles. Not chromo or rcv, maybe ten factory, dont want to wreck my gears. Or anything. But I will.

Yeah you can fit 37s with 2.5 and flat flares. Even better if you get flares that don't require the front support bracket which you can cut off (e.g. DV8, Metalcloak overline, rugged ridge hurricane with a little work). However if you have a JKU, you may want the the extra clearance of a 3.5" anyway for better breakover angle.

Good luck with that gearing and 37s in your d30...

Read about hordes of guys with the same ratio tires and d30 running it for years with moderate offroading and only 1 guy who broke a carrier bearing when his axle shaft blew

Btw if you're regearing the front for a total cost of like 600-800, plus buying upgraded axle shafts, why not at least look for a take off Rubicon front at that price?

Edit:On second thought I guess that still only gets you to 4.10 unless you get lucky with someone who already regeared it, which isn't what you're trying to run

Yeah, I found the only things I want from a Rubicon is the cool sticker and the transfer case.
