VKS V3 Stubby D Ring issue?

Just installed the VKS V3 Stubby bumper and love it. Wish I had a plasma cutter when removing the frame horns but got it done with what I had. Iíve looked at the pictures online and my supports stick out as much as others in pictures.

One issue I have, is that my d rings donít fit. The vehicle end of the particular d ring I have (poison spider d rings) seem to be too thick. Iím probably a 1/4Ē off of being able to slide emí in. Anyone else have this issue? Anyone running the V3 and which D rings are you using? Any other options?

maybe youíve got 7/8Ē ,6.5 ton capacity d-rings & the VKS will only accept 3/4Ē 4.75 ton capacity shackles?
The website doesnít really say, does it.
Ask Vick on here - @VKSFab I think it is - or call em.

Interesting! I'm looking at VKS pictures and they're d ring attach points are definitely out more than mine. I beat the hell out of the bumper shell to make sure it was all the way on. I also noticed that they don't put in their instructions that if you have a larger winch, like my zeon, to NOT take 3/4" off the frame horns. My zeon is pushing my grill in pretty significantly.

I ordered synthetic d rings and those work well. I'll grind my d rings down like you had to. Thanks!

'14 Anvil JKU Sportis all that's in my garage.
What would I know though...I'm just crawlin' at the mall.

My D rings fit perfectly on the VKS stubby even after powdercoating the bumper and rings...I know it isn't a V3 but they use the same D ring pattern...
